About the developer
Meet Khaya Ludidi and Christoph Rüger, the brains and grit behind Finitude. Their journey began when they met in 2010, modding the original Mount & Blade. United by a love for history and a blend of RPGs, immersive sims, and strategy games, the duo set out to create something uniquely their own. But what they had in ambition and passion, they initially lacked in gamedev skills.
While Christoph pursued degrees in mechanical and biomedical engineering and Khaya started a business, the two learned game development from scratch. As their first attempts met reality, they faced multiple setbacks and pivots. Year by year, working on Kinstrife alongside other commitments, they improved their skills with every time they started over. And building on these foundations, their passion project is finally shaping up to become what it was originally envisioned to be.
Finitude now have a decade-long story of ongoing dedication and effort while dealing with the limits of a two-person project – and not giving up. For the next step of turning their vision into reality, they are currently hard at work at a public demo.
